Good morning everyone, today it's my turn to show you my card I made for this month Challenge with the theme "Things With Wings". I couldn't resist this super cute image called "Maya Making Wishes" that is available at Whimsy Stamps. Isn't she cute? I had a lot of fun colouring here. I wanted to give her a darker skintone so she would look like a African girl, but it seems I didn't had the right colour of Copics. So I ended up giving here a lighter skintone. ;) I guess I have to go shopping...lol..

Hi, it's me again with another card for the Sundays With Crissy "Things With Wings" challenge! Crissy has so many cute winged creatures and I couldn't resist colouring up this handsome fellow even though Thanksgiving is months away!! It's good to be thankful anytime, right?

 The image is called "Stuffed Turkey" and it's from Whimsy Stamps.

This awesome sentiment is another one from Create With TLC!! I think it's perfect for Crissy's image!!

#29 Things With Wings: Crissy's Turn!

Hi Precious Peeps!  The challenge for May is (it's May already??) "Things With Wings".   I've actually got a card made to show off this month, woo-hoo! I have been a bit out-of-the-loop (well, some might say just "loopy!") and its great to be back and sharing this fun hobby with you today.  I just love what we do with paper and "crayons" as my hubby puts it.  "No, not crayons dear, Copics.  Big difference." I say, ha ha.  Yes, we're all serious with our colouring... not like we are kids having fun or anything (yeah, right, wink, wink).  Today I used "Little Playmates"which I drew for my rubber line at Whimsy Stamps, and if you look closely, you'll see a wee little winged creature on the end of the doggie's nose.  I LOVE ladybugs for some weird reason and have always enjoyed having them crawl on my hands and tickle my skin.  I know.  Weird.  If its a ladybug or a butterfly, I'm quite happy to let it crawl on me, but if it has eight legs or a hundred legs, NO WAY!!! It MUST have colourful wings to qualify as MY playmate!   :-)

Anyhoo, I made this card as a birthday card for my daughter (I know, the tag says "friend", but she is older now and very much a friend to me!).  If you want more deets including a stamp and Copic colour list, hop on over to my blog HERE.

Crissy has several gorgeous butterfly images and it was quite hard to decide which one I liked best, and in the end I plumped for this fabulous one which is called Rose Butterfly. I coloured it in copics and displayed it fairly simply on my card with just a paper doily and a couple of die cuts. You can see more pics and read details about it on my blog which you'll find HERE.
