Challenge 20 with Michele

Hi Everyone,
Wow time is flying by isn't it? It's my turn at the new challenge this month of K.I.S.S. which is: "Keep It Simple Stamper" I know for some of you like me keeping it simple is hard but give it a try:-) I used one of Crissy's Digital images from last year, called Warm Winter Wishes , from Whimsy stamps. I thought it would be a nice change for a winter image:-) The prize up for grabs is five free digis given to the winner by random org.

Keeping it simple was a little bit of an issue for me, haha But I ended up loving the simple concept of my card!
Can you see the hint of Martha Stewart chunky glass glitter? ;-) For all the details on my card please come visit me at my blog Here
You have until the end of August to get a creation made, please go back to Sarah's post HERE, find the blue Linky button and click on that to add you project. You may now use images from any Company and still be included in the draw for the blog candy prize. Those of you that use one of Crissy's images, from either her rubber or digital collections will be entered twice in the draw, but please respect the rules of no more then 3 entries per month:-)
Please check back here throughout the month as each wonderful Design Team member has her very own day to showcase her creation.
Have a wonderful month my friends,
Hugs
Michele

Challenge #20--K.I.S.S.--Keep It Simple Stamper

Good day everyone!! Before I jump into the challenge for this month I need to take care of some things. The first matter of business is to say goodbye to some our dear Design Team Members who are leaving us. Zoe, Melanie, and Elaine are all stepping down from our team. We want to wish them well and thank them for the effort, time, talent, and love they each put into our team and into every project they did for SWC. We will miss you ladies and hope you will keep in touch!!

And now, the moment you have all been waiting for…(drum roll please), our DT Call is now closed! A HUGE thank you to ALL of you who took the time to submit your projects!! We have chosen 10 wonderful, new full-time Design Team members who will introduce themselves to you throughout this month. Sorry, that’s all I can say, you will just have to wait until they post to find out who they are (hee hee). Rather than do a huge long post to introduce them all at once, we thought it might be nice for them to have their own time in the spotlight.

Crissy was also so impressed with the number of entries and effort put out that she has also chosen to highlight 10 Special Guest Designers from the call who will be sharing their talents with us for a one time post. We will be featuring these lovely ladies, 2 in one month, from September thru January so stay tuned...

Now on to the challenge!! This month we want to give you a great big K.I.S.S. , not literally (hee hee), but a challenge in which you "Keep It Simple Stamper".
For some of you out there I know keeping it simple is a REAL challenge, but for this one you will have to try, LOL!! Of course, this challenge is open to your interpretation, as always, but for those who are challenged with "simple" here are some ideas...use one designer paper only, one or one type of embellishement, a simple layout, etc. You get the idea...

So here's what I did using a merged image of Crissy's digi stamps "Whatzup Dog" and "Party Time Accessories".

You can check out the details of my card on my personal blog at Sally Cicada Designs.

Now it's your turn to give us a K.I.S.S.!! Show us your simple cards!! See upload instructions below!! There will be five free digi's given to one lucky challenge participant who will be chosen by Random.org at the end of the month! You may now use images from any company and still be included in the draw for the blog candy prize! Those who use one of Crissy's images, either from her rubber or digital collections will be entered twice in the draw. But please respect the rule of no more than three entries per month. Otherwise your entries could be deleted.

PLEASE NOTE: This month's contest winner as well as our picks for the the Artist's Choice Awards will be announced later on in the week. I know, I know, more suspense...LOL.

☺HERE'S HOW TO UPLOAD YOUR CARD OR PROJECT☺

You should see a blue froggy face button below where you can click to add a link to your creation. Just click on it and follow the instructions that will pop up. If you don't see it because you are on the main blog page, just go to the top of this post and click on the post title to go to the individual post. It will show up (or it should) then. Please remember, no more than three entries! You have 'til August 31st at noon to play! And you will be entered into the draw for the digi prize no matter what image you use!! Be sure to come back all throughout the month to see what our talented design team has come up with to inspire you and to see who our NEW DESIGNERS are!!

☺☺ Many Blessings ☺☺

DESIGN TEAM CALL!!!

If you came here looking for the monthly challenge, that is still happening, don't worry!  Just scroll down and you'll see the latest post explaining all the challenge details!

I am putting out a call for new Design Team members!  If anyone is interested, here is what you need to do:
1. Your entry must be a new project (no back-dated posts please) and use one of my images from any of the stamp companies I have drawn for.  It doesn't matter if it is rubber or digital, as long as it is one of my illustrations.
You can enter as many times as you'd like.  HINT: The more entries I see from you, the more serious you look about wanting a spot on my team.  :-D
2. Please post the Design Team Call button on your blog and link it back to this post.
If you do not follow those two instructions your entry will be deleted!

As a member of Crissy's Crew, you will be expected to create only one card per month.  You will be assigned a date to post every month and that will stay the same.  On that date you will post your creation on your blog and on the Sundays With Crissy challenge blog.  You will also be expected to leave comments on some of the cards that people enter into the challenge.  You know how we all love nice comments!

In return you get to have any of my digital images you want and as many as you can use, free of charge.  And you get the extra attention and friendships that go along with being on a great team of ladies!

I look for people who love my images.  I don't want anyone to feel intimidated about trying out for the team!  You don't have to have a thousand followers on your blog or to think of yourself as an expert colour-er to try out.  Newbies welcome to try, don't be shy!!  I am looking for people who love my images and who love to make cards.  Because when you love what you do, it shines through in your art work.  And enthusiasm is what sells it to someone else, not necessarily just mad colouring skills!

Link up your try-out creations using the Inlinkz option below.  If you wish to combine your entry with this month's challenge theme of "Distressing" please feel free to do so!:

Distressing with Patricia

Challenge 19 DT Call and Michele's Turn to Distress

Happy Sunday Everyone:-)
This months challenge is all about "distressing" so get the inks, distressed tools, nail files, sandpaper or whatever you like to distress with, and show us your creations!
Also we are currently having a DT call which Crissy has posted at the top of this page, So don't forget to read the details and join in the fun:-)

I picked a little older digi of Crissy's because I just think this Party Snail is the cutest thing ever! He can be found at Whimsy stamps. I Distressed the edge of the image with ink and the sentiment too! I also did a tiny bit of distressing with my distressed tool:-) I'll admit I like to use the distressed tool a tiny bit but not a lot, so my distressing is more adding the ink to the edges of the paper, hehe
Here is a full picture of my card finished, For more details on what I've done on my card, please come over for a visit HERE
Now it's your turn to show us your DE-STRESSED cards!!  There will be five free digi's given to one lucky challenge participant who will be chosen by Random.org at the end of the month! You may now use images from any company and still be included in the draw for the blog candy prize!
