Hi Everyone,
It's my turn to share my bit of inspiration for you this month as you are working on your 'Buttons & Bows' projects for this month's challenge!
Crissy has been illustrating stamps for some time and I have always loved her carousel horses but they were only ever available in rubber and so I admired from afar.
But.... FINALLY!!! (do I sound excited?) Crissy has released her famous and incredible Carousel Horses as digi stamps!!! Available from Whimsy Stamps who also sell her rubber carousel horses.
So I was just a little bit excited and of course and had to colour one up. It took me FOUR hours to colour. Had to be perfect. :)
Ready? I am a little bit proud. hahaha
This is 'Ride 'em Cowboy'.
I did some experimenting with my copic colours this round. The horse body was coloured with E13, 17 & 19 and then the shading with N5, N7 & N9 and I also added white highlights at the end to try and get the 'horse shine'.
I googled saddles and began experimenting to create a 'leather' look. In the centre I used E33, R46 & e47 and the trimming was E30 & R02.
The tail and mane are E30, E33, E37 and E29
I wanted to keep the card clean. I decided to go for a cross between country & carnival. I found this fabulous carnival designer paper by kaisercraft. Perfect for this image!! If you look closely you will see the little candy store in the background. heehhee...
This month Stitchy Bear stamps are sponsoring 'Sundays with Crissy' and are generously offering FIVE digital stamps! Woohooo! You will be caught over there for hours trying to decide what you want to play with! And you'll want to check out what they have in store for Christmas!
Plus Crissy herself is throwing in another THREE digi stamps so if I can count my fingers correctly that is a total of EIGHT digi stamps!
We all love our buttons and bows so come along and join us for some fun and for a chance to win EIGHT digi stamps, make a project using one of Crissy's OR Stitchy Bear's stamps!
You can purchase any of Crissy's digi stamps from Whimsy Stamps, Sqigglefly, or Wags n' Whiskers.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you are having a fantabulous crafty weekend!
Hugs all and take care
