What a couple of week's this has been! I usually like to have my card and post up and ready in lots of time but unfortunately it hasn't happened this time!
So this month's challenge at SUNDAYS WITH CRISSY is THANKS GIVING or THANK YOU. I hate to be ignorant but I don't know what the celebration Thanks Giving is for! I did think perhaps it was celebrating Indepentance Day but that's the 4th July, then I wondered if it was something to do with the Pilgrim Fathers! So I don't rightly know - so I am sticking with THANK YOU which is far more generic.
I have used SWEET SARAH available from WHIMSY STAMPS singularly or as part of a set. For further details check out my blog here.

Hello to everyone and as this card is posted I will be in the UK ( I hope)most probably freezing as I am always cold there but knowing me well wrapped up.
Today I am going to show you a Thanksgiving card I made for the challenge this month which is THANKS.THANKSGIVING.
I combined two of Chrissys images again, called Turk in Boots and Stuffed Turkey, when I was colouring these images I thought how cool it would be to have Anticipation and Satisfaction on one card so I went with the flow so to speak.
So go where the inspiration takes you I say and I hope we get to see lots of your inspiration for this challenge.
You can read more details about this card on my blog Pinklilacs I would love for you to pop in and visit me.
You can find both these images and a lot more at Whimsy Stamps

Hello everyone! I was trying really hard to design a Thanksgiving card (as I truly need a few) but as I went through my Crissy images and stamps - Wee Snippet from Whimsy Stamps was begging (and pleading to be colored up!)
She was so much fun to color and stickle up! For more details on my card please visit Cuttin-Up.

Hi everyone! I had originally intended to make a Thanksgiving card, even though we don't actually celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK, for the sole reason that I really wanted to have a go at colouring the wonderful Turk In Boots image that Crissy recently released. But then she went and released some more images and I couldn't resist using this fabby Sugar Pie Honey Bunch, so I've ended up making a simple Thank You card instead.
I made a second card using the same image but printed out in very pale ink, which just gives a different look. For more details about these cards, please visit my blog HERE.

Our theme for October is THANKS/THANKSGIVING. That means "Thanks" or "Thanksgiving" cards are welcome for this challenge!
Now we don't celebrate 'Thanksgiving' here in Australia, but I have lots of lovely friends in the US and Canada who do - all of whom I'm very thankful for! (Not to mention that Crissy made such a cute turkey image that I wanted to play with hehe!)
So I've chosen Crissy's "Turk in Boots" image, available from Whimsy Stamps for my 'Thanksgiving' card. Though I think I'm the turkey 'cause I have to admit I actually don't know what colour a turkey is.... So I took a wild-turkey guess and just had fun!
So here's my Challenge #22 - Thanks/Thanksgiving card...
And the angled view...
I'd love you to gobble-on over to my blog Embellished ExpresShan's for more details about my card!

High Hopes (R only) carries tons of stamps designed by Crissy (but the artist is not specified--although her art, in my humble opinion, is pretty unmistakeable ☺--if you have any questions about Crissy's HHS images just email us or leave us a comment and we will respond.)

Happy October Everyone!!!! Only 3 more months left of 2011...where has the time gone?? Autumn is descending upon Southern Ontario and soon it will be time to get out my woolies...brrrrrrr! I love the fall!!! Where I live the colour of the changing leaves can be quite spectacular!! The autumn also contains my most favourite holiday celebration--THANKSGIVING!! I love it even more than Christmas!! My card for this challenge is going to Scott, a friend of our family who is currently serving with the Canadian Forces over in Afghanistan!! Waving Scott!!! I used one of Crissy's newer digi images called "Turk in Boots"--don't you just love him?? Crissy is the master when it comes to making turkeys look cute lol!!
Now without futher ado...here are the winners of Crissy's Artist Choice Award, for last month's challenge with the theme of "Friendship"!! I feel very excited, blessed and honoured to be a member of Crissy's Crew!!

Jane Johnson
"I'm Jane from the UK and I am a stay at home Mum to two gorgeous children who keep me entertained and busy. I have loved to draw, paint and create for as long as I can remember and soon became addicted to card making when I purchased a small kit 2 years ago. I have been incredibly lucky since I started my blog and am on a few design teams and made lots of special friends. I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of Crissy's team and to have the opportunity to work with her adorable images."
Linda Jessup
Hi I’m Linda. I am from the UK, but for the time being I live in Bahrain with my lovely husband Brian who works here, he is very supportive to my crafting adventures as I call them, which is bit of a task sometimes with all the mess I make in my craft room. I have always loved arts and crafts especially scrapbooking, altered art and card making but my adventures took a turn when I found stamping three years ago and was hooked straight away, I use all kinds of mediums but Copic and Pro Markers are my favourites.
MIchelle Petermann
"Hi everyone -- I'm Michelle & I live just outside of Milwaukee, WI. I'm married with 2 boys, 9 &12. I've been stamping for 6 years now & I LOVE cute images which is why I've been a fan of Crissy's since the day I met her. It means so much to me to be part of the Crew! My preferred way of coloring is colored pencils/Goo Gone but I do try desperately to use Copic Markers & even more desperately -- watercoloring! Thank you so much to Crissy & the team for having me!!"
Shari McLaughlin
I am mom to two adults and 4 fur babies, and have been a crafter forever. I started with rug hooking, crocheting, faux painting, and then ran my own tole painting business for years ( even cut my own pieces of wood ). Scrapbooking entered the picture about 14 years ago when I moved to Calgary. When Copics first came out I resisted - who needed another addiction LOL!!! - that lasted for a whole two months, and then I took a basic class and the rest as they say is history!! I became a Copic Certified Designer in April 2010 and LOVE everything about Copics, including experimenting with all kind of techniques, and passing my passion and knowledge on to fellow Copic lovers!!! I am so honored to be invited to join the DT at Sundays with Crissy, and am looking forward to getting to meet new people through the challenges.
Shannah Bartle

I took up card-making about 3 years ago, and the very first stamps I fell in love with were Crissy's High Hopes cuties! So you can imagine how excited, nervous, and completely honored I am to be a member of Crissy's Crew! :)”
