It has been a hectic month here so far! So much so, that I didn’t realise until a couple of days ago that the Whimsy Stamps release hop and my Sundays with Crissy challenge post would fall on the same day. So, in the interests of preserving my sanity, I’ve combined the two!
You can check out the challenge for this month and all the rules/how to enter etc over on the main challenge post for this month ! This month the theme is Here Comes The Sun, which loosely ties in with my card today…using one of Crissy’s new images in rubber from Whimsy Stamps! How does it tie in? Well, mermaids and underwater themes always seem to crop up over summer, and they always make me think of summer and sunshine!
The image I've used for today's card is JOURNEY INTO THE SEA, one of Crissy's gorgeous new images available in rubber.
I fell in love with this one straight away - check out that gorgeous flowing hair! Coloured with Copics on Make it Colour Blending Card.
For all the details on products used etc, and to join in the Whimsy Blog Hop, pop on over to my blog - Quixotic Cards.
Why don't you get creating and show us your Sun/Summer themed cards!! There will be five free digi's given to one lucky challenge participant who will be chosen by Random.org at the end of the month! You may now use images from any company and still be included in the draw for the blog candy prize! Those who use one of Crissy's images, either from her rubber or digital collections will be entered twice in the draw. But please respect the rule of no more than three entries per month. Otherwise your entries could be deleted.

There are some gorgeous flower themed stamps out there, and they make a nice change from cute characters, plus they present their own colouring challenges. So, as you can see, I decided to use one of Crissy's gorgeous flower stamps available through Whimsy Stamps - FRAGRANT ROSE (available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie).

Stitching - Elaine's Turn!
This month here on Sundays with Crissy the challenge is to add stitching to your project - either faux or real.
Usually, I'd just pull out the sewing machine, but for this challenge I decided to be a little brave, and use a white gel pen to doodle my stitching. I almost never doodle on my cards, so this was actually a challenge!
The image is one of Crissy's latest digis for Whimsy Stamps - Whatzup Dog! LOVE this image!
I'd probably be happier if I had used the sewing machine, but still, it isn't THAT bad!
Copics for colouring, of course!
Browns: E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, E47, E49 Greens: G20, G21, G24, G28 Blues: BG0000, BG45, BG49 (dog collar), BG0000, BG10, 0 (sky) Greys: C00, C1, C4, C6, C9
Papers are My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose Hattie 6x6.
There will be five free digi's given to one lucky challenge participant who will be chosen by Random.org at the end of the month! You may now use images from any company and still be included in the draw for the blog candy prize! Hopefully you're feeling inspired enough to join us! Add stitching to your project either with a machine, the Sew-Easy tool, completely by hand or do faux stitching using a pen and link your project up on THIS POST on the Sundays With Crissy Blog.

It's All About Love with Elaine!
This is my first post here as a member of Crissy's Crew, and I'm thrilled to be joining the team!
Today it's my turn to share a card for the latest challenge, the theme of which is LOVE!
I've used some of Crissy's latest digital images from Whimsy Stamps: Sweet Sarah, Can I Kiss You, and Love Seat. You can purchase them separately or as a set.
I flipped the boy and merged the images. Aren't they a sweet pair? Coloured with Copics. Papers are My Mind's Eye Mabel. I kept the layout very simple, to keep the focus on the image.
You can check out full details including the list of Copics used over on my blog - Quixotic Cards.
If you'd like to play along and join in the challenge, you will need to upload your creation(s) to Sarah's blog post HERE.
