#8 Your Favourite Time of Year

Welcome back to my challenge blog!  I hope you are enjoying your summer so far.  I know I sure am!
For this month’s challenge, we would like you to make a card or other stamped project to celebrate your “Favourite Time of Year”.  This is open to your interpretation.
I will have a blog candy prize to give to one participant who uses one of my digital images on their challenge project. I will be offering up five digital images from my collections at either Whimsy, Squigglefly or Wags ‘n Whiskers (see the right side bar for links to my digital collections at these stores).  The winner of the blog candy gets to choose which five they would like.  I am also throwing in a pad of 12 x 12 DP (no photo yet).
I sure hope you play along!

IMPORTANT NOTE:
From now on, new challenges will be posted once a month (changed from bi-weekly) on the first Sunday of every month.  Our next challenge will take place Sunday September the 5th.

Now onto the photo gallery supplied by my beautiful, magnificent members of Crissys Crew!
Please move your cursor over to the right side bar and click on each Crew member’s link to visit their personal blogs.  You will not be disappointed, believe me!  I have THE best design team in blogland (am I biased? Well, yeah, but can you blame me? ;-) )  Here are their cards showing off their own favourite times of the year:

#7 Christmas in July!

We're only having one challenge this month and next to account for summer holiday fun.  We'll resume every two weeks in September.
And this one is my favourite so far: Christmas in July!  I LOVE Christmas cards, and hope you use this challenge as inspiration to get a jump start on the cards you will be needing five months from now!
So why not join in the fun and create a Christmas card to add to your stash.

Happily, we have a new sponsor for this week's challenge!  Here is what Whimsy is offering  as blog candy:

Whimsy Stamps is a family owned business and online store located in the United States. We carry a line of whimsical and fun rubber stamps made from deeply etched red rubber and mounted on EZ mount foam. We also have a digital stamp collection with new releases on the 1st of each month. We've recently added an online gallery for our DT and registered users where you can find lots of samples using our stamps. We also have an inspirations blog with daily postings and product info and our featured stamper Saturdays!

As promised, I have two winners this week, from the participants who followed the rules and used one of my digital images in Challenges #5 and #6!  I numbered you in the order you entered, and then used Random Integer Generator to choose the two winners.  And they are:

Chris Olsen
and
Annita

Give me a shout ladies, and I'll get your prizes mailed out to you!

Now here are the cards my Lovely Crew members have created to get you inspired to make Christmas cards!  You may notice a new name on the list!  Happily, Michele Spera has agreed to join the Crew as our Guest Designer for a few challenges!  Thanks Michele, waving!!

#6 Monochromatic (Mostly!)

Welcome to challenge #6 at SWC!  I'm really excited about the theme that  Mary chose for us today!  She would like us to make a project using a "monochromatic" colour scheme!  That just means use only one colour to create your card/project!  I know, I know, it sounds next to impossible doesn't it ...    But if you take a look at what the Crew cooked up for you this week, you will get the idea real quick!  And it's a time saver too, not worrying about what colour goes with what ;-).  Plus you can even cheat a bit, and add one more colour, but only as an "accent" and only if it is in small doses!!

The Copic Creations blog did this theme a little while ago, so if you need even more inspiration, head on over there as well; you won't be sorry!

Now to some details concerning the blog candy:

Last post I showed you a sweet prize that was donated by our sponsor, LSL Diversified.  I also added one of my digi images (of the winner's choice) to the pot!
Normally, I would choose a winner for this blog candy two weeks from today.  However, because of summer holidays approaching,  I am going to be slowing things down a bit.  So the candy will run for an extra two weeks giving you more chances to enter!  And to sweeten the deal, I have a second blog candy prize to offer!  So on Sun. July 18, two names will be chosen randomly.  One will get the prize previously shown on June 6's post, and the second will get this beautiful Premium Pack of 12 x 12 Glittered and Foiled paper, as well as the digi image of their choice from any of my collections!  Please read and follow the rules of play located on the right side bar of this blog if you want to be entered into the draw!

And now without further adieu, presenting the gallery of art by Crissy's Crew for the "Monochromatic (Mostly!) cards. Each Crew member's creation links back to their blog.  Enjoy, and be inspired!!

#5 Relish To Embellish!

Welcome to my fifth challenge at SWC!  Today we'd like you to "Relish to Embellish" and the theme is open to your interpretation!
As always, you may use any image, rubber or digital to play along.  However, only entries using one of my digital images are eligible for the blog candy draw four weeks from now on July 4th.  See the right side bar for a complete list of the Rules of Play!

I'm extra pumped about this challenge, because we have our very first sponsor!

I just found another fantastic store recently called LSL Diversified.  They are Canadian and in Ontario. Since they are only online (not brick and mortar) they can keep their prices low. I have ordered from them three times now, and am I ever impressed! They have the lowest Copic prices I have found in Canada - $5.50 per each sketch marker!

And great sales every week too.  Also, if you don't see what you want in her catalogue, she'll try to order it in for you!
Not only are her prices low, the service is exceptional. I have ordered and received my packages from her within three business days.  Of course that would be different for U.S. or International orders.
So, I have approached Lora, the owner of this fine Canadian company to be our very first sponsor at Sundays With Crissy, and she agreed!  Here is what she had to say:

Hi my name is Lora Sinkler-Lake and I am the owner of the on-line store LSL Diversified.  I am offering a variety of products at a great price and would love to have you pop by for a visit.  Customer service is a top priority for me so if there is something you would like to see please feel free to ask.  Check back often as new lines arrive almost weekly.

Here is a piccy of the blog candy Lora is offering to one lucky participant from challenge #5:

And to add to the pot, I will throw in a digi image of your choice from my collections at  either Squigglefly, Whimsy, or Wags 'n Whiskers!

Now feast your eyes on what my lovely Crew members did to inspire you for this fortnight's challenge.  Why not pop on over to each of their blogs to see more of their awesome creations  (all the photos have links to their blogs).  I know you won't be sorry!
