Stitching~~ Mary Lou's Turn
Hi~~Hope you are all having a great Spring!!!!
Did you see Crissy's new digi's and stamps, they are just the sweetest!!!!!
Did you see Crissy's new digi's and stamps, they are just the sweetest!!!!!
I used Crissy's digi's Sweet Sarah and Can I Kiss You
My--they are darling together!!!
Now... now... I have to tell you that I have NEVER sewn on a card before. So I decided to give the faux sew technique a try :) Used a template for the wall vine and free handed the beaded circle. I was so impressed with myself that I even did a faux border on the inside of card LOL~~I am sure that those of you who do sew and are reading this are probably giggling away by now--someday friends I will machine sew cuz I just love the outcome!!
For more details please visit my blog: Mary Lou's Corner

Stitching-Melanie's Turn
Good afternoon lovely blogging friends! Today is my turn to share a card here at Sundays With Crissy, and I am absolutely in love with the challenge this month...Stitching!! I tend to add machine stitching to most of my cards. Now, if the thought of using a sewing machine on your project does not appeal to you, your stiching can also be done by hand...or it can even be faux stitching!!
The digital stamp I chose to work with today is Crissy Armstrong's "Maya Making Wishes" available at Whimsy Stamps. Crissy captures the sweet innocence of childhood so beautifully in this image...do you remember making wishes on dandelions? Sometimes as adult, I think we forget how to find joy in life's small moments and simple pleasures. :)
For details on products and techniques used on my card (including a list of Copics used), please feel free to visit my blog, Paper Blessings.

Stitching ~ Maria's Turn
Stitching is this month's challenge theme on Sundays with Crissy and you can add either real or faux stitching to your project.
This is truly a challenge for me because I've never sewn on my cards. Actually, I don't even pull out the sewing machine to sew clothing ~ hehehe. So I've opted for faux stitch doodling around Crissy's digi image for Wags 'n Whiskers, called He Loves Me. I love this sweet angel and I was worried I would ruin the image with my first attempt at faux stitch doodling BUT it was super fun and I know I'll try this again.Image was coloured with Copics and the papers are called Gypsy by Basic Grey. Prima Crystal Pearls, flowers and butterflies are from my stash. I used a flourish die to surround the image and sponged around the angel with Tim Holtz' Tumbled Glass DI. I dotted her wings with Copics and then covered them with Star Dust stickles.

Stitching - Elaine's Turn!
This month here on Sundays with Crissy the challenge is to add stitching to your project - either faux or real.
Usually, I'd just pull out the sewing machine, but for this challenge I decided to be a little brave, and use a white gel pen to doodle my stitching. I almost never doodle on my cards, so this was actually a challenge!
The image is one of Crissy's latest digis for Whimsy Stamps - Whatzup Dog! LOVE this image!
I'd probably be happier if I had used the sewing machine, but still, it isn't THAT bad!
Copics for colouring, of course!
Browns: E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, E47, E49 Greens: G20, G21, G24, G28 Blues: BG0000, BG45, BG49 (dog collar), BG0000, BG10, 0 (sky) Greys: C00, C1, C4, C6, C9
Papers are My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose Hattie 6x6.

Stiches with Zoe!
Hi Everyone,
This month at Sundays with Crissy we are challenging you to add Stitching to your projects, you can either sew or draw them on. :) I used my sewing machine to add stitching around the edge of all the panels. I have a tip for those of you who like everything perfect down further.
I used one of Crissy's new digi stamps 'In the Doghouse' from Whimsy Stamps and created a scene by adding the 'Country Walk' and 'Crooked Picket Fence' from MiC in the background. For those of you who love to build your scenes, Crissy now includes a version designed for layering, with an opaque background for the image and transparent around the edges.
When I saw the new images come out I was so excited as I have had the Max & Whiskers Basic Grey paper pad that I had been waiting to use when the right image came along. I am chuckling to myself thinking about how silly that is. I also had these little doggy embellishments that I picked up at a craft show that have been in my little container since forever! :)
I bought the doggy ribbon at the same show and because I had covered it up on the front I had to use it again on the inside... hehee It's just soooo cute!!
Here is a close up of the scene. Lot's of green really. But I do like how bright and cheerful it looks. I know it isn't as 'detailed with shading' as some of my other work but with a headache and the fact that it is quite a cartoony image I thought it looked cute. :)
And here is a close up of the doggy... awwwww. Notice the white toe? That's cause he has a bit of staffy in him... lol Just like my little Kiara.
So I promised a sewing tip! Well... because I have this 'thing' where I like things to be straight etc... I would always get annoyed when the corners of the stitches wouldn't stop in the 'right' place and would be wonky on each corner. So one day I had this bright idea to push a pin through and create a hole in each corner before I began sewing. When I am coming close to the hole I slow down and then manually turn the machine for the last few stitches and will lift the foot and move the card to guide the needle into the hole. It seems to be working for obsessive disorder! heeehee :)
However I don't have any tips on keeping the lines straight in between the holes! hahaa Please share if you do!!
Thanks so much for popping by and don't forget to add some stitching to your projects so you can join us this month! Don't forget to add your entry to the post at the beginning of the month. HERE!!
Big Squeezes!

Stitching- Chris Olsen's Turn
Happy Monday Everyone! I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable weekend....maybe with some stamp time perhaps? Since we are now into a new month, that means we have a new challenge for you at Sunday's With Crissy. This month's theme is stitching...this could be faux stitching or real sewing stitches.
Since I just love stitching, I just had to pull out my sewing machine and do LOTS of stitching. I used one of my fave Spring images from Wags n Whiskers illustrated by Crissy: Easter Blessings from Wags n Whiskers ( this is available as rubber or digi). I colored the image with copics and added lots of details to my creation.
There will be five free digi's given to one lucky challenge participant who will be chosen by Random.org at the end of the month! You may now use images from any company and still be included in the draw for the blog candy prize! Those who use one of Crissy's images, either from her rubber or digital collections will be entered twice in the draw. But please respect the rule of no more than three entries per month. Otherwise your entries could be deleted.
I hope you are inspired by my creation, if so please join us. Should your create a card or project with stitching, just link your creation here.

Sundays With Crissy Digital Spotlight
Whooo Hooo!! I just love this job--I get to tell you all about Crissy's newest images for Whimsy Stamps!!! She's got some real cuties this time, and if you're a dog lover, you'll love them even more!! Without further ado here's...
I wasn't able to share Crissy's New Rubber from February due to a flood in my basement--no computer access--but now that I am up and running I thought I'd show you her latest rubber collection for Whimsy too!!!
Darling Daisies
See something you fancy?? Click on any of the images and you will be taken directly to ordering information.
Crissy is always finding ways to improve her blog. She has now opened her contest up to allow participants, using ANY of her past or present rubber images, to earn a second entry into her monthly draw. That means any stamp, digital or rubber, from High Hopes Stamps, Squigglefly, Whimsy or Wags 'n Whiskers is eligible. As long as she's drawn it, it's worth a second entry into the contest. Of course the same contest rules apply and all winners will receive digi images as their prize. See the side bar for more details.

Challenge #15--Stitching--Sarah's Turn
Hi there!! Thanks for stopping by Sundays With Crissy today!! Wow can you believe it's already March?! I am so READY for SPRING!!
It's challenge time again and this month it's all about STITCHING!! It can be real or faux stitching--you decide--you can even do a little of both if you desire!!
I took the easy route and decided to do some hand drawn stitches. I used Crissy's image "Love You Sis" from Wags 'n Wiskers which also has a lot of stitching in the girls' clothing. I coloured the image using my Copics. I went for the clean and simple look (I'm hopeless using a lot of bling--LOL)!! I added some fancy trim to jazz it up a bit. You can find more deets on my card by going to my personal blog--sallycicadadesigns.blogspot.com!!

These are cards that caught my eye for one reason or another, that I felt were the most impressive from the bunch!
